The miracle-working icon of the Mother of God Gherontissa - Abbess, is celebrated on December 2 and is located at the Pantocrator Monastery. It was donated by the Byzantine emperor Alexius I Comnenus, being a copy of the mosaic icon of the Mother of God "Quick Helper" at the Pantocrator Monastery in Constantinople.
